Why isn’t TFC’s midfield scoring as much this season?

Toronto FC’s goal production from midfield has dropped off considerably from a year ago. In fact, TFC’s defence has scored more goals than its midfield this season. So, how come Toronto’s midfielders aren’t scoring as much?
